These are just some little effects clips I made, to try and bring out my creativity. Most of these effects were taken from the ideas of Ryan-W.com or peerlessproductions.com and hence all credit goes to them. *salutes*

These files are all in Quicktime. If you don't have it, you can download it here.

Plasma Ball (7 MB)

I've jazzed it up since my first go, I added beams coming out of the ball, using a demo plugin. I'm quite proud of it. The ball itself is merely a cluster of green pixels, rotated round, and timed to appear and grow at different intervals.

Shoot A Door (7 MB)

Having a bit of a break from sabers, I decided to do guns. This is fairly good, if it weren't for the plasticity of the toy gun, I might have been proud of it. (P.S. yes, that's a McDonalds Menu on my door!)

Invisible Lightsaber (2 MB)

My first attempt at creating my own effect. I swing a saber round, then the next time as it passes I become invisible. This was before I knew my camera could, sort of, have white balance, hence why the masks are so clear.

Cloning (7.3 MB)

This was my first attempt at cloning, and I decided to do the hard part straight away, and use direct interaction between the clones. Even though I pulled out almost every hair on my head doing it, I believe it came out alright.

Clone Fight (9.2 MB)

My latest effect to date. This took the concept of cloning, and mixed it with the idea of lightsabers. The result was pretty remarkable. I am most proud of this clip, even though the second hit, doesn't actually hit each other!

Charmed Effects (6.8 MB)

Ohhh!! Now I'm getting excited! After recently getting into the Tv program Charmed, I did a few effects from the program. There's 3 effects here, the last one I'm most proud of!

NEW: A tutorial for this effect can be found here

Exploding Kitchen (2.0 MB)

I did this a while ago, but wasn't too happy with it. I came back to it, a week ago, and gave it another go. I'm much happier with this version, but as always, there's still room for improvement!

Orbing (6.2 MB)

Again, going back to Charmed, I took the idea of orbing in and out of a scene. (A big thanks goes to Chris Luckwald for his tutorial on this) I think the first half is better than the second, but tweaking will get me there!

Shimmering (1.6 MB)

Whoo hoo! Exams were over, and we had a bouncy castle for Sal's birthday. I decided to quickly try out a shimmering effect in front of the castle. It came out pretty well, even though it was a bright scene. My lesson was learnt.
